I AM A SCIENCE STUDENT I GUESS

I live in India. And I love my country. In our country after 10th you have to select one stream out of three streams. These three streams are Science, Commerce and arts. And the stream which is loved by lot of people is Science. Like yea most of the students wants to take science. Most of parents wants their children to take science. I also wanted to take science. You know what when I just entered in 4th standard my elder brother entered in 11th standard and he scored 89% in 10th. This much of percentile was enough for my brother to take whatever stream he wanted. And he chose Science and his lot of friends also took Science. His friends also scored good marks. You know what this is one of the best moment of someones life I guess. Like yea for me it is so pleasing to watch students and family being so happy.

In my school after your 10th you gets 100 days of holiday and in this 100 days of holiday 11th students just enjoy their life a lot. Watching my elder brother enjoying his 100 days of holiday and scoring this much of marks I also wanted my 10th class to come. Because I knew after 10th I will also enjoy like this. You know what every student of my school use to wait for the same moment.

I also wanted to take science. I was born in a IAF family. IAF this word means a lot to me, a lot. IAF stands for Indian Air Force. Nabh Sparsham Deeptam means Touch the sky with Glory, The tag line of Indian Air Force. Because I was born in a IAF family I have seen fighter jet flying all the time in the sky. I always use to watch that people are flying using parachute, glider, jet, etc. People are firing in the firing range, running, doing different types of physical tasks, playing all sorts of sports and what not. These people are no one but IAF soldiers and Officers.

By watching these people I was like I want to be an Fighter Pilot. In my UKG when I was 5 year old I knew I want to be an Fighter Pilot in Indian Air Force. I also wanted to go up in the sky, I also wanted to feel the speed. You know what our topic is some what different so lets not go there.

So If you want to be a fighter Pilot in Indian Air Force you need to have Math and Physics in 12th as a subject. And these subjects are only available in science. So when I got to know this I wanted to take Science. Because after 12th their is NDA. NDA is such a big name for all the Defence Aspirants. When you clear all the stages of NDA you become a officer in Defence and its not easy. But I had a believe that I can conquer NDA.

I was in Gandhinagar when I just entered in 10th and I knew I am about to leave this place because of Chennai. My father got a transfer of Chennai. I didn’t wanted to leave Gandhinagar but that’s the thing its tough but….. . When I came to Chennai I didn’t like the vibe of Chennai at all. The teachers were not good, the students were not good, school was not good, nothing was not good. The only two things that was good in Chennai was. IAF basketball court and IAF cinema hall. Because of these two things I was able to survive in Chennai. In 10th I didn’t study well. And you know what still I was able to score 7.2 CGPA. I was happy, but only I was happy. 10th class was the worst timeline till now. The reason was simple I have enjoyed so much in life that. 10th class was not just enough to provide the same. I will talk about it later.

You know what Central Government launched the cut of list for Science for all India Kendriya Vidyalaya students. My marks was not enough to cross that list. That was the worst moment of my life. But still I was hoping that I will get Science when the final list of students will come. After some days list came. But lets talk about one more thing, before taking admission in 11th in my school you have to fill a preference form. In that preference form their were 5 options. First one was Bio with Math, 2nd one Bio without Math, 3rd one computer science, 4th Commerce with Math and 5th one Commerce without Math. My first preference was. CS and the last preference was Commerce without math. When I was going to my school in evening to see the list I was very positive and I was like:- initially I will check my name is CS corner. When I parked my cycle and when I was about to check my name in CS corner suddenly my senses sensed my name. And when I checked which corner it is then I realized it is Commerce with Hindi corner. I was like WOW, like what. what is this, This was my last preference and I got this only.

Felt bad, really very bad. But I knew that this is not the end but still. I still could have took Science in a private school but I didn’t wanted to leave KV, so yea I accepted the fact that now I have to continue like this only and have to figure out something in commerce only.

I always use to get fascinated by seeing science student when I was small. And I also use to listen lot of stories where a guy wanted to take science but didn’t got it because his marks are low. And everyone in his family are also sad. And whenever I use to see such guys I always use to be like, I will never gonna be him. And that actually happened I became that guy. I didn’t got Science.
